About
The basic concept of the site started off as just a test site for the Google Maps API. While I was messing around with that, the idea of a Canadian motorcycle user-submitted route site came to my head as I was looking for a site that had nice scenic routes around Canada and couldn't find any decent ones. There were a couple for the United States, but I wasn't planning on trekking down south just for some nice roads when I know there are plenty in Canada.
So the basic idea was in my head, and I had started getting familiar with the Google Maps API. From there I started building parts of the site little by little until I got a good solid base down. This is pretty much where I've left off at the moment. I keep thinking of new things to add, and little by little get them done, but now that the core functionality is working the site can be used.
Hopefully you find this site useful. Its success depends on the user, so log in and submit a new route!
